Rosemary Conquest, an antiques dealer and restorer, and her husband Richard left the hustle and bustle of London life for what was meant to be a slower pace in rural France. “Our first property was an 18th century detached house in the west of the country, ” says Rosemary. “It was so pretty, on the edge of a village, with a beautiful garden, and a little cottage, which we converted and began to rent out to guests.”
